Updates-
07/30/02 Greg has requested that his profile be removed from the Absynth
homepage.
06/24/02 Bob Anderson has been
officially fired from the Absynth lineup. Along with live shows, the band has
no plans to do any further recordings with the ex-singer. When reached for comment,
Anderson had this to say:
"I was "dismissed" from
the band about a month ago, I had no problem with that. I lost interest in
absynth a while back and probably should have
resigned months ago. The band was going in a direction that I really didn't enjoy.
My original intent in founding the band with John Major was to create a very
melodic style of death metal such as in flames, dark tranquillity, etc.. If you have
heard absynth you know that this isn't the sound it went in. I honestly don't even
know if the rest of the band even knows I'm not in it anymore or what is the state of
things with them. John says that they have jammed once or twice but I don't actually
know. I wish them the best of luck with whatever they decide to do. I*f you
want to hear what I am up to now check out www.desolateweb.com"
